Let me say, she does say stupid and dumb excessively, in my opinion. We had a big talk about it. I told the kids that as soon as I hear those words come out of and little Jennings mouths, we would no longer listen to or read these books.
But man, I was laughing out loud. Its funny stuff! The kids were laughing, I was laughing...endorphins were released and we all felt better by the time we got to church.

I agree that she says stupid and dumb way too much, But I also agree that she is sticking hilarious. I read these books to my students but I usually substitute the words I don't like for the word "silly". I don't guess you can really do that with an audio book. I have a cousin that I swear this character was written about.
My students used to love those books but I have never read one!
I absolutely HATE we couldn't be there to laugh with you! You're right the time surrounding dinner time-bedtime is def. the hardest. Today though, I'm feeling that exhausted "I'm done" feeling a little early...like 11am early! AHHH...
Laughter is truly the best medicine! I've never heard of those books - maybe we'll have to check them out...
Our favorite Junie B. saying, which I think is from "Boo! And I mean it!" is "Back off clown!" I love her books, but that is the only thing Emma will let us read to her and I think we've read all of them at least 3 times. UGH! I'm ready for something else!
