Is anyone else having a hard time with inserting pictures on blogger? I can't see them on the screen when I'm composing my post. So these are not in order.
The first pic is of our family (obviously) when Hattie was born in Nairobi Kenya. The next one is Hattie at her 3rd birthday last year. The next one is at her 2nd birthday. And the last one is her first birthday in Uganda, when she fell in love with shoes.
Hattie Ruth is a HUGE blessing to our life. Although she is tiny, she is feisty. She is determined and independent but at the same time she is incredibly helpful and motherly. She loves vegetables and fruit. It seems like she looks at food and decides she will eat whatever has the least amount of calories. She has a life long love of purple, glitter, and anything girly.
Ooh, I could go on and on.
We had a fabulous day. We took the whole family to Einsteins for breakfast. I made little blueberry muffins for her class. We went shopping. We ate supper at my parents. Brownies, presents...she said, "I loved my birthday. It lasted a long time and we did lots of things." Tomorrow we are having a tea party! Pictures to come.

Happy birthday to Hattie! I can completely sympathize with a tiny girl - my 8 year old just hit 50 pounds and is finally wearing 7's. We were so excited when she was finally at 50!!! :)
What a beautiful little girl! I recognize that outfit in picture number 3 and it seems that Emma was MUCH younger than that when she was wearing it? Although, I may not be remembering that well? Happy Birthday Hattie!
Tell Hattie Happy Birthday from Abbie in ND!
