Last night I watched the weather before going to bed. The weatherman said, "we are expecting much warmer weather tomorrow, with the high being around 35. So, all you'll need tomorrow is a light jacket."
I laughed outloud. It made me think of my dad. I don't know how many times I've heard him say," if you don't wear your coat today, you might as well just throw it away" and I know it probably wasn't even as low as 35.
The weatherman also said we are most likely going to have a "warm" Christmas. Ok. I'll let you know how warm it is.

That sounds just like your dad. Hey, last night I got to watch the re-run of Oprah's favorite things show. Man, your sister-in-law missed out!!
Honey, we sure can tell you ain't from North Dakota!
I recall a pastor friend who had attended Trinity Bible College here in ND and grew up in Utah and he drove up our hill in KY, unplowed and a good 18 inches of snow. My mom was horrified. He didn't make it up, BTW. He told us when we moved to MN that we'd see people in shorts when it got warm in the spring, warm as in the 30's. I've lived here long enough that the last couple of days have felt balmy compared to last week. (I still wear a scarf.) I don't like the wind making me cold.
