Ok, anyone who knows me knows I hate packing. I am horrible at it. I become paralyzed and I just don't know what to do. I can't explain it but I just stand there and can't organize myself.
I know, its weird.
When I was in college I was always the last one in the dorm. My mom came a few times to motivate me. (She really did most of the packing.)
So, here I go again. Ugh.
We are about 3 weeks from moving. My friend Jen told me that she would already be packed up. I wish. No way. I am trying to do a little at a time. The problem with that is if I do too little at a time there will be a WHOLE LOT left at the end. And if I"m not organized about it, I will end up with a bunch of miscellaneous boxes.
I have now packed all of our books and stuffed animals, some toys, the dress up clothes, and 2 trunks of...miscellaneous. Oh well. I have good intentions.

One thing at a time... you'll get there!
I have learned quite a bit from our many moves over the years....make sure to label the box with which room it is associated with! That helps tremendously with those Miscellaneous boxes! If you need a helping hand, let us know. I don't know how much help I am when I bring two more little ones but we are willing to "try" and help! :) You'll do great!
Set yourself a schedule and stick to it. Since you have 3 weeks to go, have goals along the way such as having X rooms done by week 1 and basement done by week 2 and so forth. You'll get it done. We are praying for all of you!

Do all picture frames and knick-nacks (sp?) next. You can always live without those. And wrap them in your extra towels and sheets. And splurge and buy boxes, they are so much easier when it comes to packing the truck. And one more thing... don't hire 2 Men and a Truck.

You're doing great! I remember your move from seminary, wish I could come help. It'll be really good to have you guys closer. I'm excited for this new chapter in your lives=)
Emily, you used to have flylady on your blog roll. Don't see her there any more, but I bet she could give you some ideas. I am right there with you though & sooo feel your pain. You have some really good tips on here already though & I know flylady would tell you to declutter along the way too.
